Mr. Yakityak's Mint Chip Ice Cream

Home made ice cream is just exceptional, generally speaking, but it's also generally kosher for Passover. This is handy, especially for those of us with spring birthdays. I can't subscribe to lousy excuses for cake on Pesach, but at least with ice cream, no sacrifice in quality is necessary. We use an ice cream maker - just follow the directions for whatever device you are using.
Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1.5 tsp peppermint extract
- 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
- 3 drops green food coloring (optional)
