Yakityak's mac 'n cheese fondue

Cook pasta according to package directions, drain; set aside.

Melt butter in saucepan, cook garlic on low heat until tender. Add flour and pepper, stir well. Add milk all at once, cook and stir over medium heat until slightly thickened and bubbly. Add cheese, stirring until melted. Add white wine until thoroughly mixed. Add cooked pasta. Transfer mixture to a 2 qt. casserole dish.

Sprinkle on bread crumbs, if desired. Bake, uncovered, at 350 F for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Serves 4 generously.
